Very well presented site and full of useful information on Scottish Constitution Lodges in Western Australia. Early in 1895, several brethren met in the Bohemia Hotel in Perth and resolved to apply to the Grand Lodge of Scotland for a charter to establish a Scottish Lodge in the colony. Their approach was made through the District Grand Lodge of Queensland, by then the only remaining Scottish District Grand Lodge in Australia. As the only means of communication was by sea, progress was slow, so it wasn’t until May 7th 1896 that Western Australia’s first Scottish Lodge, St. Andrew No. 829, was granted its charter |

The town of Melrose grew outwards from a collection of buildings around the main gate of its famous monastery whose mantle wall ran down the line of the present High Street opposite the Hotel. The Hotel occupies a site, which has been in use for well over three hundred years, the first indication being in Charter of Apprising by the Earl of Haddington in 1667 when property belonging to John Leithead was mentioned. The G & A has established a reputation for its friendly staff and caring attitude, and is now family owned and run by the resident proprietors. |
The PGM Hugh Milne cordially welcomes you to the Web-site of the Provincial Grand Lodge of North Munster. The first Provincial Grand Master was Bro. Michael Furnell, a Past Master of Lodge 13, and a High Sheriff of the County of Limerick. |
A Lancashire hotel situated on the outskirts of Blackburn. This small privately owned hotel hosts 14 uniquly designed bedrooms, but also a Michelin Star restaurant. Chef patron Nigel Haworth has worked hard to get local dishes such as Lancashire hotpot, for example the gastronomic recognition he feels they deserve. The gourmet evening is something that must be experienced with accommodation packages worthy of consideration. Highly recommended. |
On the ninth day of April 1895, a group of Masons gathered together at the home of Clinton B. Ripley to discuss the formation of a new lodge in Honolulu. Brother Henry E, Cooper, the Junior Past Master of Hawaiian Lodge, spearheaded, engineered, organized, and obtained the proper documentation needed to institute a new lodge and laid the cornerstone to erect the new lodge. Pacific Lodge No. 822 was chartered by the Grand Lodge of Scotland through the District Grand Lodge of Queensland. In 1910, this Lodge transferred to the Grand Lodge of California and became known as Honolulu Lodge No. 409. On May 20, 1989 the Grand Lodge of Hawaii was founded. |
