The Lodge of Erskine 1566 on the Roll of the Grand Lodge of Scotland. Meet 2nd Thursday in Inchinnan Masonic Temple - 14 Luckinsford Road, Inchinnan, Renfrewshire PA4 9PJ The lodge crest, is unique and consists of three parts, the Cannon, the Wheat Sheaf, and the Staff and Serpent. The cannon alludes to the military connection of the lodge by its founder members, and to the connections with the Royal Ordnance Factory. The wheat sheaf alludes to the agricultural tradition in Bishopton. The staff and serpent alludes to the Erskine Hospital, where the ex service men, among the original founders and members, worked and lived after serving their country. |

This lodge was consecrated on Wednesday, 22nd November 1961, in the Memorial Hall on Balmuildy Road, Bishopbriggs. There were 120 founder members from 54 lodges comprising 20 Past masters of which 6 were from English Constitution. The sponsor Lodge Sir William Wallace, No 1504. |
The Lodge was consecrated on the 3rd. of March 1962. A deputation headed by the Grand Master Mason, Brother The Lord Bruce, and assisted by a deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Linlithgowshire headed by the Provincial Grand Master, Brother Alexander Pennycook performed the ceremony of erection and consecration. Our Lodge meets on the 2nd and 4th Friday August - April. All visitors welcome |

"On December 22nd, 1702, in the little Scottish hamlet of Haughfoot, a Masonic Lodge was founded, which flourished for 61 years until 1763, and apparently disappeared into thin air." On Saturday, 21st December 2002 Founder Members of The Haughfoot Lodge, No.1824, met, in Stow Town Hall, to mark the 300th anniversary of the first meeting of the first entirely ‘Speculative Lodge in the world. |
